As a sailor I have had a passion for Rum and all things nautical. I was an avid sailor and racer from the time I was a child. I stopped racing as work and life got in the way. My love of rum has remained and I do own a sailboat. I tested lots of equipment in my kitchen until one day my wife came home to a “scene from Breaking Bad”. She highly encouraged me to find a space and start a Rum distillery. In other words, I got kicked out of the house. So I set out to make the best Rum on the planet. I was extremely fortunate and found a Distillery for sale with the most amazing Kothe Still.
So the quest for the best rum had begun. I had found a Distillery with an amazing still now what? I started doing what I had been doing in my kitchen, testing. After months of testing I settled on a formula for our base. Molasses from Central America, yeast and nutrients for the wash from Central America, a still from Germany, reverse osmosis purified water from Washington. We source our barrels locally from a fine craft bourbon distillery in Washington. Our spices for our spiced flavored rum come from all over the world. This includes; cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, vanilla and a few more proprietary all natural spices and flavors.
We have created one of the finest spirits on the planet! It is modern yet classic.
