- 1 cup watermelon, seeded and roughly chopped
- Juice of ½ lime
- Mint leaves
- 1 fl. oz. White Rum
- Club soda
Slush it like this:
Soften the watermelon in a blender and pour into a glass. In another bowl, gently crush the mint leaves with lime juice and pour this over the watermelon puree. Add ice and top it off with rum and club soda. For the garnish use a few mint leaves and a wedge of watermelon.
Rum-Spiked Coconut Iced Coffee

- 2 tablespoons shredded coconut
- 3/4 cups chilled coconut coffee
- 1 1/2 ounces spiced rum
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 4 tablespoons whipped topping
Shake it like this:
Fry the shredded coconut till it turns brown and set aside. In a cocktail shaker pour in ice, coffee and rum and shake well. Pour this mixture into a glass, then top with coconut milk, whipped cream and shredded coconut.
Coastal Rum Punch
A great drink you can get together in a pitcher. Power packed with healthy juices, coconut water, vitamin C and potassium, this drink is not only super yummy but it’s something that can be made in just a few minutes. The fruits will naturally sweeten your drink and infuse it with vitamins and nutrients.
- 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 cups fresh pineapple juice
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1½ cups white rum
- 4 tsp fresh lime juice
- 4 tsp beet juice (optional)
Make it like this:
Pour all ingredients into a large pitcher and stir together. Add ice and your drink is ready!
Hot Buttered Rum
A great drink for cold winters — this all spiced drink is a winter special.
What you’ll need:
- 1 small slice butter (soft)
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 dash ground cinnamon
- 1 dash ground nutmeg
- 1 dash ground allspice
- 1 splash vanilla extract
- 2 ounces rum (dark)
- 5 ounces water (hot)
Prepare it like this:
In an Irish coffee mug put the butter, sugar, and spices and muddle. Pour in the rum and top it with hot water. Stir well and stay warm!

Cuba Libre is yet another classic that you can give a healthy twist to. Slightly muddle three or four lime wedges in the bottom of a glass and top with 2 ounces of dark rum, 4 ounces of regular or diet coke and ice.
Pina coladas can be had best with all natural ingredients such as fresh pineapple juice, cream of coconut, and rum. That’s it.
Dark and Stormy can be made healthy with an easy recipe. Simply combine 2 tsp (30 ml) dark rum, some fresh lime juice, 1 tsp Ginger Simple Syrup and ½ cup ginger kombucha, 1 lime wedge and 1 slice crystallized ginger. Enjoy!
